Dear legislators,

My name is Laurie Payne. I am writing to plead for my dear lifelong friend Karen Glenn's daughter Amelia to be able to have access to high-CBD/low-THC cannabis extract, also named Alepsia in order to treat her epileptic seizures. Please, please support Rep. Gage Froerer’s HB 105 Plant Extract Amendments.

There are no current treatments that are effective without causing more damage and putting Amelia at high risk of death from side effects. Amelia is 19 years old, but because of the damage from so many daily seizures over the years her development and behavior is like a 4 year old. Amelia suffers daily from small seizures that are debilitating for her and for her family. On rare good days, Amelia laughs and hugs everyone and is happy. Most days she is curled up with jerking, twitching and suffering. There is one known way she could have many many good days.

This treatment, Alepsia, is helping people effectively where it is legally available in Colorado right now! It gives hope, relief and a better quality of life for children and adults like sweet Amelia Glenn.
