Dear Representative,

We have written the legislature about a number of State Tax concerns.  Taxing Retirement Incomes, Taxes that are levied on Utahans cars, trucks and motor homes.  A number of States do not have any Tax on Vehicles, some do not Tax peoples incomes and some States do not Tax peoples Retirements. One of the responses we received from the Utah Legislature was that some of these other States have resources like Oil and Gas production, there seem to be a number of resources that are not being use right here in Utah that could help our State and lower Utahans Taxes.

From what we have read and been told, part of the problem is because Utah has let conservation and environmental groups like the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA) control and block these valuable resources that will help Utah move forward and create much needed good jobs, a boom for the States economy.  Yes there is some Oil and Gas production/exploration but there are large fields that are being allowed to be tied up in the Courts or removed completely from use.  How can Utah move forward when these environmental groups are allowed to block every move that Utah takes to moved forward.  These environmental groups and their own selfish interest are causing monumental losses to the State of Utah, income that would allow the State to lower Taxes and the people of Utah lots of decent paying jobs.  Allowing these environmental groups to control lands by just saying sometime might be there and closing our lands needs to stop, lets move Utah forward.

Someone once told us as they drove across the border into Utah they saw a sigh that read "Welcome To Utah, Set Your Clock Back 40 Years"  We Love our State (Utah), Let's make some changes that help the economy and the people of Utah.

Thanks for your time.
