Representative Weiler:

I am writing to ask that you support the bill to stop using gas chambers for animal destruction. 

It disturbs me that killing a perfectly healthy animal has to be done at all, but I would ask you to vote in favor of lethal injection if that is what is required to end an animal's life and NOT continue to support killing an animal with gas which is not either efficient or kind.

I understand that dead is dead, but it is a horrible waste of life to be born and live a very short time and then die by being put to death and gas chambers are not the most humane way to kill unwanted animals.

I would also strongly suggest you support the idea that animals need to be spayed or neutered if they are going to become family pets. I would even more strongly suggest that the craziness of continuing to allow backyard breeders needs to be shut down now! As long as perfectly healthy animals are put to death in shelters we do not need to encourage more animals to become fodder for legal injections for the sake of someone earning a few bucks.
