I'm sorry, Shawna. You voicemail was received ten minutes before your email and I hadn't had a chance to listen to it. I've been on the senate floor passing base budget bills and now I'm in a closed caucus.

I'm very sorry to hear that doors were left unlocked and lights left on. I personally turned off all the lights I could find and locked the front door.

To my knowledge, no one from our group unlocked the east and west doors. But again, I apologize for the oversight and can guaranty that it will not happen again.

Hello Senator Weiler, Representatives Edwards and Nielson,

I got a report this morning from a co-worker who arrived at City Hall very early last Friday morning (Jan. 31) after your Town Hall meeting Thursday night that both the east and west doors were left unlocked, the doors to the council chambers were left open, and lights were left on at both entrances, the restrooms and the council chambers.

Standard procedure for someone who uses our building is to sign an agreement when the key is picked up that the building will basically be left in the condition you found in it in.  Rusty Cannon picked up the key for you to use and signed the agreement.  Since he wasn¹t going to be at the meeting, he assured me that since you have used the building before, you knew how to lock it up and how to leave it.

Not to be harsh, but I have noted the condition the building was left in on my ³black list² and would appreciate a response to my voice mail (Senator Weiler) and email indicating you understand our concerns so the building can be used again for your purposes.

Thank you,

Shawna Andrus
