Thanks, Lenn. I appreciate you contacting me and sharing your views. Jim did not call for anyone to be fired -- I did.

But I said the "administrator" responsible should be fired -- not the lunch ladies in the school. I repeatedly emphasized that point during the press conference -- the video of which is available to watch on the Trib's website.

Remind me again who needs to do their homework?

Mr. Clara,

Thank you for the update on the horrible Fiasco that is very obvious not the lunch ladies fault at all. I see you have your hands full with a superintendent that lives in the old time maybe 70's or 80's management style that it's my way or the highway, but not shocking he takes no responsibility for his style of management that is so outdated. It seems Salt Lake voters need to shake the board up as this type of management is so outdated and dreadful.

Then I read that 2 senators come to the school and want the employees fired for what they did. I must say to them ...Wake UP !!! It is not the employees at the school that seem to be the problem it is the superintendent, his right hand person Janet Roberts and Jason Olsen. It then trickles down from there. There seems to be no transparency with this district at all.

The board should be ashamed of themselves for letting this problem grow as it has. Michael, please keep up your work on the board. Do not let them get you down nor take any of their crap so to speak. As I said I don't live in Salt Lake but have friends there. It is a beautiful city. I'm not sure about Utah but in Texas and Illinois were I grew up you can request any information from a government agency be it city, state or federal level under the Freedom Of Information Act and they must respond in a set amount of time per the federal law. I think parents need to be more proactive in this district and request information they need. I know they are very busy but if  you don't get them involved it is a long hard road for you.

Now, Mr, Dabakis and Mr. Weiler:

Do your home work before running off on a witch hunt that you don't really know about. If you YouTube Mr. Clara's video blogs he seems to be doing his homework and not just pointing fingers and jumping to conclusions. There  appears to be serious issue with the Salt Lake City School District. If you want to terminate someone it should be Mr. Withers, Janet Roberts and Jason Olsen ASAP.  They seem to be the biggest problem the district has. You should work to clean house at the  school district, or work to make things more transparent.  Do not blame the lunch lady. She is not at fault here. Dot not make her or the school scap goat.

Dear Neighbor and Friend,

I wanted to again thank you, for contacting me on this issue. I so appreciate that you were as outraged about this, as I was.

Clearly, poor judgement was exercised. This is however, a symptom of a much larger problem that plagues our school district.

I am forwarding you my latest blog entry update, just to let you know where I stand.

Un abrazo,
