Do you have time to talk with me by phone or video conference today? I want to understand the Senate’s views on the nomination of Margaret Plane. I have known her for many years and know she is intelligent, thoughtful and considered in her legal opinions. She is an icon in the woman legal community here for her forthright advocacy for improving opportunities for women lawyers in the state. If I could understand the dynamics of what is going on here, I would like to be heard on the issues as she has my full support, particularly after the thorough vetting our process for nomination has given her.
