5    A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE LEGISLATURE FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR
6    LEGISLATIVE IN-SESSION EMPLOYEES; AND PROVIDING RETROSPECTIVE
7    OPERATION.
8    Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
9        WHEREAS the Legislature acting under the authority of Section 36-2-2, Utah Code
10    Annotated 1953, is required to fix the compensation of its in-session employees by joint
11    resolution:
12        NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the state of Utah that the
13    compensation of legislative in-session employees for actual hours worked be fixed as follows:
14        Employees working for the Legislature for the first time shall be paid under the "Step 1"
15    scale. Employees working a second session for the Legislature may be paid under the "Step 2"
16    scale. Employees working three sessions for the Legislature may be paid under the "Step 3" scale.
17    Employees working four or more sessions for the Legislature may be paid under the "Step 4" scale.
18    Employees working five or more sessions for the Legislature may be paid under a "Step 5" scale.
19        Senate employees are designated with an "S". House of Representative employees are
20    designated with an "H".
