APPROPRIATION FOR FORESTRY EXTENSION SERVICES
1997 GENERAL SESSION

AN ACT RELATING TO APPROPRIATIONS; APPROPRIATING $102,200 FROM THE
GENERAL FUND IN FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 TO UTAH STATE UNIVERSITY
EXTENSION FOR A PRIVATE FOREST LANDOWNER EDUCATION PROGRAM;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Appropriation.
(1) There is appropriated $102,200 from the General Fund for fiscal year 1997-98 to Utah
State University Extension for a private forest landowner education program.
(2) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) may be used to hire extension personnel and
pay for expenses relating to developing and conducting a private forest landowner education
program in coordination with the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands and the Utah Farm
Bureau.
(3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is non-lapsing.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 1997.
