This bill requires landowners who would conduct forest practices on their property to contact the Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands. The bill includes notifications by operators also. Because this bill requires education and notification, the division would need two foresters in the Vernal and Richfield areas of the state. It is estimated that the cost for these FTEs would require General Funds of $148,000 in FY 1998 and $110,800 in FY 1999.
