AN ACT RELATING TO REVENUE AND TAXATION AND STATE AFFAIRS IN
GENERAL; REPEALING THE SUNSET DATE FOR TITLE 59, CHAPTER 1, PART 11,
GOVERNING PRIVATE COLLECTORS OF DELINQUENT TAXES; REPEALING
OBSOLETE LANGUAGE REQUIRING A STUDY OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF
PRIVATE COLLECTION EFFORTS; AND MAKING TECHNICAL CHANGES.
This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
AMENDS:
63-55-259, as last amended by Chapters 15 and 134, Laws of Utah 1997
REPEALS:
59-1-1103, as enacted by Chapter 165, Laws of Utah 1994
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Section 63-55-259 is amended to read:
63-55-259. Repeal dates, Title 59.
[(1) Title 59, Chapter 1, Part 11, Private Collection, is repealed July 1, 1998.]
[(2)] (1) Section 59-10-530.5, Homeless Trust Account, is repealed July 1, 2007.
[(3)] (2) Title 59, Chapter 17a, State Appropriations and Tax Limitation Act, is repealed
July 1, 2005.
Section 2. Repealer.
This act repeals:
Section 59-1-1103, Study mandated -- Repealer.
