    The Public Utilities and Technology Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 185, TELECOMMUNICATIONS LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE, by Representative B. Evans, with the following amendments:
1.     Page 2, Line 8:    After the word "including:" insert "(a) proactive ways that the state may encourage competition in     telecommunication services."
        "(b) current barriers to competition in telecommunications services         in the state of Utah."
        And renumber accordingly

2.     Page 2, Line 15:    After "November 30," delete "1999" insert "1998"
