    The Transportation and Public Safety Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 278, VEHICLE REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS, by Representative C. Saunders, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 1, Line 25:    After "Beginning" insert "on the later date of" and after "2000," insert "or the date the commission's new motor vehicle system becomes operational,"

2.    Page 2, Line 9:    Delete "Beginning January 1, 2000, the" and insert "The"
