Mr. President:

    The Human Services Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 5, JUDICIAL CUSTODY OF YOUTH TO HUMAN SERVICES, by Senator N. Tanner, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 3, Line 7:    After "of" delete "screening" and insert "assessment"

2.    Page 4, Line 11:    Reinstate "and may order" and delete "or,"

3.    Page 4, Line 12:    Delete Line 12

4.    Page 4, Line 13:    At the beginning of line 13 delete "Section 63-75-5.7," and reinstate "to provide dispositional recommendations"

5.    Page 4, Line 14:    Reinstate "and services"

6.    Page 4, Line 14:    After line 14 insert:
        "(ii) For minors who may qualify for services from two or more divisions within the Department of Human Services, the court may vest legal custody with the Department."

7.    Page 4, Line 15:    At the beginning line 15 bracket "(ii)" and insert "(iii)"
