House Floor Amendments

Representative Keele Johnson proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 3, Line 2:    After line 2 insert:
        "(8)(a) All of the fine and forfeiture revenue generated by using photo radar or traffic signal photo detection shall be remitted as follows:
        (i) the reasonable costs of producing the citation and accompanying photograph shall be remitted to the treasurer of the local authority; and
        (ii) the remaining revenue shall be remitted to the state treasurer to be deposited in the General Fund.
        (b) This Subsection (8) is an exception to the provisions in Sections 78-3-14.5 and 78-5-116.
        (c) This Subsection (8) does not affect the collection or distribution of any surcharge imposed upon the fine or forfeiture."
