Senator Mayne proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Lines 5 - 7:    At the end of line5, bracket "REMOVING" and bracket lines 6 and 7 and insert "EXEMPTING YOUTH CORRECTIONS' EMPLOYEES FROM P.O.S.T. REQUIREMENTS UNTIL 1999; AND DECLARING THEM INELIGIBLE FOR PUBLIC SAFETY RETIREMENT."

2.    Page 1, Line 15:    Reinstate bracketed language.

3.    Page 2, Lines 19 - 20:    Reinstate bracketed language.

4.    Page 2, Line 20:    At the end of line 20, bracket "1998" and insert "1999".

5.    Page 2, Line 20:    After line 20, insert:
        "(5) Employees of the Division of Youth Corrections shall remain ineligible for retirement under the provisions of Title 49, Chapter 4, Public Safety Retirement Act and Title 49, Chapter 4a, Public Safety Noncontributory Retirement Act."
