Senator Nielson proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 1
    Lilac 2-1-98:    After "PIERCING" insert "AND TATTOOING"

2.    Page 1, Line 5:
    Lilac 2-1-98:    After "PIERCING" insert "OR TATTOOING"

3.    Page 1, Line 26
    Lilac 2-1-98:    After "piercing" insert "or tattooing"

4.    Page 1, Line 27
    Lilac 2-1-98:    After "minor" insert "after the parent or legal guardian has provided reasonable proof of personal identity and familial relationship"

5.    Page 2, Line 8
    Lilac 2-1-98:    After line 8 insert:
        "(e) "Tattoo" means to fix an indelible mark or figure upon the body by inserting a pigment under the skin or by producing scars."

6.    Page 2, Line 9
    Lilac 2-1-98:    Delete "(a)"

         Renumber remaining subsections accordingly.

7.    Page 2, Line 13
    Lilac 2-1-98:    After line 13 insert:
        "(3) A person is guilty of unlawful tattooing of a minor if he performs or offers to perform a tattooing:
        (a) upon a minor;
        (b) without receiving the consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian;
        (c) for remuneration or in the course of a business or profession."

    Lilac 2-1-98:    Delete "(b)" and insert "(4)" and after "(2)" delete "(a)" and insert "or (3)"

         Renumber remaining subsections accordingly.
