FORCE ON SKULL VALLEY DEVELOPMENT

                  A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES URGING THE GOVERNOR TO
                  FORM A TASK FORCE TO STUDY AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING
                  POTENTIAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE SKULL VALLEY
                  BAND OF GOSHUTE INDIANS.
                  Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the state of Utah:
                      WHEREAS, economic development alternatives for the Skull Valley Band of Goshute
                  Indians should be encouraged;
                      WHEREAS, a Governor's task force, with access to the resources of the Department of
                  Community and Economic Development, can focus specific attention on economic development
                  alternatives and contribute significantly to the efforts of the Skull Valley Band of Goshute Indians
                  to increase its economic vitality; and
                      WHEREAS, greater economic strength for the Skull Valley Band of Goshute Indians
                  increases the economic strength and quality of life for all Utahns:
                      NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the House of Representatives of the state
                  of Utah strongly consider the formation of a task force to study and make recommendations aimed
                  at improving the economic development opportunities for the Skull Valley Band of Goshute
                  Indians.
                      BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be sent to the Skull Valley
                  Band of Goshute Indians, Governor Leavitt, the Department of Community and Economic
                  Development, and Private Fuel Storage.
