ADOPTION OF COUNTY BUDGET

5 AN ACT RELATING TO COUNTIES; MODIFYING THE DEADLINE FOR ADOPTING THE
6 COUNTY BUDGET.
7 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
8 AMENDS:
9 17-36-15, as enacted by Chapter 22, Laws of Utah 1975
10 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
11 Section 1. Section 17-36-15 is amended to read:
12 17-36-15. Adoption of budget.
13 On or before the [15th day of the] last [month] day of each fiscal year, the governing body
14 by resolution shall adopt the budget which, subject to further amendment, shall thereafter be in
15 effect for the next fiscal year. A copy of the final budget, and of any subsequent amendment
16 thereof, shall be certified by the budget officer and filed with the state auditor not later than [thirty]
17 30 days after its adoption. A copy, similarly certified, shall be filed in the office of the budget
18 officer for inspection by the public during business hours.
