Mr. Speaker:

    The Political Subdivisions Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 290, BUDGET CYCLE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS, by Representative D. Jones, with the following amendments:
1.    Page 3, Line 63:    After line 63 insert:
        "(c) Each city that adopts a fiscal period that is a biennial period under Subsection (2)(a) shall comply with Sections 59-2-912 through 59-2-926 as if it had adopted a fiscal period that is an annual period."

2.    Page 9, Line 249:    Delete "22" and insert "30"

3.    Page 9, Line 250:    Delete "17" and insert "31"

4.    Page 11, Line 337:    Delete "22" and insert "30"

5.    Page 12, Line 338:    Delete "17" and insert "31"

6.    Page 15, Line 444:    After line 444 insert:
        "(c) Each county that adopts a fiscal period that is a biennial period under Subsection (2)(a) shall comply with Sections 59-2-912 through 59-2-926 as if it had adopted a fiscal period that is an annual period."
