Mr. President:

    The Business, Labor, and Economic Development Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 71, OCCUPATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE REVIEW COMMITTEE, by Senator L. Mansell, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 8:    After "PROCEDURES;" delete "AND"

2.    Page 1, Line 10:    After "REAUTHORIZATION" insert "; AND APPROPRIATING $19,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-1999"

3.    Page 1, Line 20:    After line 20 insert "This act enacts uncodified material."

4.    Page 3, Line 74:    After "motions" delete "and voting"

5.    Page 4, Line 91:    After "Section 36-23-107" insert ", Title 63, Chapter 55, Legislative Oversight and Sunset Act,"

6.    Page 4, Line 94:    After "report to the" delete "Legislature" and insert "speaker of the House of Representatives and the president of the Senate"

7.    Page 5, Line 121:    After line 121 insert:
        "Section 9. Appropriation.
        There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 1998-1999:
        (1) $2,000 to the Senate to pay for the compensation and expenses of senators on the committee;
        (2) $2,000 to the House of Representatives to pay for the compensation and expenses of the representatives on the committee; and
        (3) $15,000 to the Office of Legislative Research and General Counsel to pay for staffing the committee."
