Mr. President:
The Revenue and Taxation Committee reports a favorable recommendation on S.B. 142, JUDGMENT LIEN AMENDMENTS, by Senator J. Valentine, with the following amendments and recommends it be considered read for the second time and placed on the Consent Calendar.
1. Page 1, Line 7: After "SECURITY;" delete "AND"
2. Page 1, Line 7: After "CHANGES" insert "; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE"
3. Page 1, Line 27: Delete "clerk of the"
4. Page 1, Line 27: After "where the" insert "notice of"
5. Page 2, Line 28: After "the court" insert "that rendered the judgment"
6. Page 2, Line 34: After line 34 insert:
"Section 2. Effective date.
If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto, the date of veto override."
