Senator Dmitrich proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 1, Line 8:    After "INMATES" and before "." insert "; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE"

2.    Page 2, Line 37c
    Corrected Lilac 2-15-1999:    Delete "AND"

3.    Page 2, Line 37f
    Corrected Lilac 2-15-1999:    After "PROCESS" delete "." and insert "; and"

4.    Page 2, Line 37f
    Corrected Lilac 2-15-1999:    After Line 37f insert:
        "(c) have received written notification from the legislative body of the municipality or county where the proposed facility is to be sited, stating that the legislative body has agreed to the establishment of the facility within its boundaries."

4.    Page 5, Line 124
    Lilac 2-15-1999:    After Line 124 insert:
        "Section 9. Effective Date.
        If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto, the date of veto override."
