Mr. President:
The State and Local Affairs Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 118, QUASI-GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES AMENDMENTS, by Representative D. Ure, with the following amendments:
1. Page 1, Line 8: After "COMMITTEE;" insert "PROVIDING EXEMPTIONS FROM THE STUDY;"
2. Page 1, Line 19: After line 19 insert:
" 63-95-203, Utah Code Annotated 1953"
3. Page 7, Line 189: Delete "dissolution" and insert "a change in the organizational status"
4. Page 7, Line 191: Delete "dissolving" and insert "changing the organizational status of "
5. Page 7, Lines 192-200: Delete lines 192 through 200 and renumber remaining sections accordingly.
6. Page 7, Line 211: Delete line 211 and insert "(b) make recommendations to the Legislature concerning the organizational status of a quasi-governmental entity;"
7. Page 7, Line 213: After line 213 insert:
"Section 7. Section 63-95-203 is enacted to read:
Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Part 2 and Subsection 63-95-102(9), the following quasi-governmental entities are exempt from the study by the committee under Section 63-95-202:
(1) the Utah Housing Finance Agency created in Title 9, Chapter 4, Part 9; and
(2) the Workers' Compensation Fund of Utah created in Title 31A, Chapter 33."
Renumber remaining sections accordingly.
