Mr. Speaker:

    The Workforce Services Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 260, TUITION ASSISTANCE FOR SERVICE MEMBERS, by Representative B. Chard, with the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Line 57:    After "(6)" delete "Tuition" and insert "The committee shall direct the State Board of Regents to pay tuition" and after "assistance" delete "is to be paid by the committee"

2.    Page 2, Line 58:    After line 58 insert:
        "(7) The board shall provide administrative support to the committee for the tuition assistance program."

3.    Page 3, Line 61:    Delete "Tuition Assistance Committee established under Section 53B-8d-104" and insert "State Board of Regents"
