Mr. Speaker:

    The Judiciary Committee reports a favorable recommendation on H.B. 388, UTAH PRODUCT LIABILITY ACT AMENDMENTS, by Representative K. Morgan, with the following amendments and recommends it be placed on the Consent Calendar.

1.    Page 1, Line 17:    After "manufacturer of a product" delete "in any action" and insert "shall be"

2.    Page 2, Line 18:    At the beginning of the line, delete "brought pursuant to this chapter is", after "policy and" insert "is", and at the end of the line after "unenforceable" insert "if a defect in the design or manufacturing of the product causes an injury or death"
