Representative Spencer proposes the following amendments:
1. Page 1, Line 10: At the end of line 10 delete "AND"
2. Page 1, Line 11: After "CHANGES" insert "; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE"
3. Page 16, Line 466: After "insanity" insert "for a felony offense"
4. Page 16, Line 467: Delete line 467
5. Page 16, Line 468: At the beginning of the line delete "(h)" and insert "(g)" and after "trial" insert "for a felony offense"
Renumber remaining subsections accordingly.
6. Page 16, Line 470: After "(2)" insert "current"
7. Page 22, Line 673-676: Delete lines 673 through 676
8. Page 23, Line 677: Delete line 677 and insert
"(iii) is an unlawful user of a controlled substance as defined in Section 58-37-2;
(iv) is in possession of a dangerous weapon and is knowingly and intentionally in unlawful possession of a controlled substance as defined in Section 58-37-2;"
9. Page 23, Line 678: At the beginning of the line delete "(iv)" and insert "(v)" and after "insanity" insert "for a felony offense"
10. Page 23, Line 679: Delete line 679
11. Page 23, Line 680: After "trial" insert "for a felony offense"
12. Page 23, Line 681: After "(vii)" delete "has been" and insert"is currently"
13. Page 30, Line 906: After line 906 insert:
"Section 20. Effective date.
(1) Sections 26-8a-310, 31A-16-103, 31A-23-203, 53-1-104, 53-10-201, 61-2-9, 62A-4a-202.4, 78-3a-307.1, and 78-3a-904 take effect July 1, 2001; and
(2) the remaining sections in this act take effect May 1, 2000."
