             6      This act appropriates $5.7 million from the General Fund to the Department of Health for
             7      fiscal year 2001-02 only, for alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention, reduction,
             8      cessation, and control programs. This act appropriates $2 million from the General Fund
             9      for fiscal year 2001-02 only, to the Huntsman Cancer Institute of the University of Utah
             10      Health Sciences Center.
             11      This act enacts uncodified material.
             12      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             13          Section 1. Appropriation.
             14          (1) (a) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 only, $5.7
             15      million to the Department of Health.
             16          (b) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation shall be used for alcohol,
             17      tobacco, and other drug prevention, reduction, cessation, and control programs that promote
             18      unified messages and make use of media outlets, including radio, newspaper, billboards, and
             19      television, and with a preference in funding given to tobacco-related programs.
             20          (2) (a) There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 only, $2
             21      million to the Huntsman Cancer Institute of the University of Utah Health Sciences Center.
             22          (b) It is the intent of the Legislature that this appropriation shall be used to benefit the
             23      health and well-being of Utah citizens through in-state research, treatment, and educational
             24      activities.
