ASSOCIATIONS OF GOVERNMENTS APPROPRIATION
2001 GENERAL SESSION

This act appropriates $160,000 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 only to the
Department of Community and Economic Development for distribution in equal amounts
to each of the seven associations of governments. The act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
This act enacts uncodified material.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
Section 1. Legislative intent.
The Legislature acknowledges the valuable contributions made by the seven associations
of governments within the fabric of government in the state. It is the intent of the Legislature, in
making this appropriation, to assist these associations of governments in fulfilling their statewide
public purpose of bringing together local government entities located within the various regions
of the state, as defined by the associations of governments, for the purposes of planning and other
cooperative efforts for the benefit of the citizens of the state.
Section 2. Appropriation.
There is appropriated from the General Fund for fiscal year 2001-02 only, $160,000 to the
Department of Community and Economic Development to be divided evenly among and
distributed to:
(1) the Bear River Association of Governments;
(2) the Wasatch Front Regional Council;
(3) the Mountainland Association of Governments;
(4) the Six County Association of Governments;
(5) the Five County Association of Governments;
(6) the Uintah Basin Association of Governments; and
(7) the Southeastern Utah Association of Governments.
Section 3. Effective date.
This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
