HIGH-LEVEL NUCLEAR WASTE

6 There is appropriated $1,600,000, for fiscal year 2001-02 only, from the General Fund to the
7 Department of Environmental Quality to be used to oppose the off-site storage of high-level
8 or greater than class C nuclear waste within the exterior boundaries of the state. This act
9 takes effect on July 1, 2001.
10 This act enacts uncodified material.
11 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
12 Section 1. Appropriation.
13 For fiscal year 2001-02 only, there is appropriated $1,600,000 from the General Fund to
14 the Department of Environmental Quality to be used by the department, acting in consultation with
15 the office of the governor, to oppose and prevent the off-site storage or transportation of high-level
16 or greater than class C nuclear waste within the exterior borders of the state.
17 Section 2. Effective date.
18 This act takes effect on July 1, 2001.
