         CIVIL STALKING AMENDMENTS

House Committee Amendments

Representative Shurtliff proposes the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Line 28:    Restore "and" at the end of the line

2.    Page 2, Line 30:    Restore the period and delete "; and"

3.    Page 2, Lines 31 - 32:    Delete Lines 31 - 32

4.    Page 11, Line 311:    After "writing," delete "an evidentiary" and insert "a"

5.    Page 13, Line 381:    Delete line 381 and renumber subsections "(2)" and "(3)" accordingly

6.    Page 13, Line 385:    Delete line 385, and insert:
        "(3) Fees may not be imposed by a court clerk, constable, or law enforcement agency for:
        (a) filing a petition under this chapter;
        (b) obtaining an ex parte civil stalking injunction; or
        (c) service of a civil stalking injunction, ex parte or otherwise."
