APPROPRIATION FOR ARCHERY AND

NATURE PARK IN TOOELE

             6      This act appropriates $9,500 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2002-03 only, to the
             7      Division of Parks and Recreation to be disbursed to Tooele County for the development of
             8      an archery and nature park at Deseret Peak. This act provides that Tooele County will
             9      provide matching funds in an amount equal to or greater than the amount appropriated
             10      under this act prior to disbursement. This act takes effect on July 1, 2002.
             11      This act enacts uncodified material.
             12      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             13          Section 1. Intent statement.
             14          It is the intent of the Legislature in appropriating these funds that:
             15          (1) because of the uniqueness and purpose of this park, there is a statewide benefit to all
             16      residents of the state; and
             17          (2) the funds will provide assistance in developing a natural habitat and water resource for
             18      waterfowl, wildlife, and vegetation native to the area to enhance the archery and nature park.
             19          Section 2. Appropriation.
             20          (1) There is appropriated $9,500 from the General Fund for fiscal year 2002-03 only, to
             21      the Division of Parks and Recreation to be disbursed to Tooele County for an archery and nature
             22      park at Deseret Peak in Tooele County.
             23          (2) Tooele County shall provide matching funds in an amount equal to or greater than the
             24      amount appropriated under Subsection (1) prior to disbursement of funds under this act.
             25          (3) The money appropriated in Subsection (1) is nonlapsing.
             26          Section 3. Effective date.
             27          This act takes effect on July 1, 2002.
