ADMISSION POLICIES FOR HIGHER

6 This act modifies the State System of Higher Education by prohibiting institutions of higher
7 education from discriminating against, or granting preferential treatment to, any group or
8 person on the basis of race, sex, religion, color, ethnicity, or national origin in admissions
9 policies and practices.
10 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
11 ENACTS:
12 53B-2-107, Utah Code Annotated 1953
13 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
14 Section 1. Section 53B-2-107 is enacted to read:
15 53B-2-107. Admissions policies and practices.
16 An institution of higher education may not discriminate against, or grant preferential
17 treatment to, any group or person on the basis of race, sex, religion, color, ethnicity, or national
18 origin in admissions policies and practices.
