RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING LEGISLATIVE
2 AUDITOR GENERAL
3 2002 GENERAL SESSION
4 STATE OF UTAH

6 A joint resolution of the Legislature approving the reappointment of Mr. Wayne L. Welsh
7 as legislative auditor general and providing an effective date.
8 Be it resolved by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
9 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 36-12-7 , Utah Code Annotated 1953, the Legislative
10 Management Committee of the Legislature, upon recommendation of its Audit Subcommittee, has
11 recommended the reappointment of Mr. Wayne L. Welsh as Legislative Auditor General for the
12 Utah Legislature; and
13 WHEREAS, the reappointment of Mr. Wayne L. Welsh in this position for a term of office
14 of six years commencing February 1, 2002, is subject to further approval of a majority vote of both
15 the House of Representatives and the Senate:
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of the state of Utah that Mr.
17 Wayne L. Welsh's reappointment as Legislative Auditor General for the Utah Legislature be
18 approved for a six-year term of office commencing February 1, 2002.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution takes effect and the term of office shall
20 commence on February 1, 2002, upon approval by a constitutional two-thirds vote of all members
21 of the Senate and House of Representatives.
