Vice Chair Ferry called the meeting to order at 4:06 p.m.

MOTION: Rep. Parker moved to approve the minutes of the February 25, 2002 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Adair, Rep. Barrus, Rep. Hansen, Rep. Hatch, and Rep. Morgan absent for the vote.

H.J.R. 30    Resolution to Expand the Government Property Tax Exemption (D. Clark)

Rep. D. Clark introduced the resolution.

MOTION: Rep. Parker moved to pass the resolution out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hatch and Rep. Morgan absent for the vote.

S.B. 119    Workers' Compensation Insurance Related Amendments (L. S. Poulton)

Rep. Adair introduced the bill with the assistance of Dennis Lloyd, Workers Compensation Fund.

MOTION: Rep. Adair moved to amend the bill as follows:

1st Sub. S.B. 122    Insurance Law Amendments (L. S. Poulton)

Rep. Adair introduced the bill with the assistance of Neal Gooch, Department of Insurance.

                            "(2) Notwithstanding Subsection (1), a title insurance agent may engage in the escrow business if:
                            (a) the escrow involves:

MOTION: Rep. Bradshaw moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Adair, Rep. Bryson, and Rep. Hatch absent for the vote.

MOTION: Rep. Parker moved that S.B. 103 be placed on the consent calendar. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Adair, Rep. Bryson, and Rep. Hatch absent for the vote.



S.B. 100    Pharmacist Licensing Amendments (P. Knudson)

Sen. Knudson introduced the bill.

MOTION: Rep. Bryson moved to amend the bill as follows:

            Goldenrod 1-28-02:        After "including" insert " : (i) " and after "drugs;" reinstate "and" and insert " (ii) drug interactions with food, nutrients, and supplements; and "

        2.    Page 8, Lines 223-226
            Goldenrod 1-28-02:        Delete lines 223 through 226 and renumber accordingly.

    The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Adair, Rep. Bradshaw, and Rep. Hatch absent for the vote.
