Chair Bowman called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m.

H.B. 245    Amendments to Sex Offender Registry (A. Bradshaw)

Explained the bill:    Rep. Bradshaw
                Ron Gordon, Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice

MOTION:     Rep. Winn moved to adopt the following amendments:

1.    Page 2, Line 43:    Delete Lines 43-44 and renumber remaining sections accordingly.

2.    Page 2, Line 48:    Delete Lines 48-49 and renumber remaining sections accordingly.

3.    Page 7, Line 190:    Delete Lines 190-193

The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Pace and Rep. Seitz absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Bourdeaux moved to pass the amended bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Pace and Rep. Seitz absent for the vote.

MOTION:     Rep. Ray moved that H.B. 245 be placed on the consent calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Pace and Rep. Seitz absent for the vote.

H.B. 247    Fire Prevention and Safety Amendments (C. Beshear)

Explained the bill:     Rep. Beshear
                Gary Wise, State Fire Marshal

MOTION:    Rep. Seitz moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.


MOTION:    Rep. Moss moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
