Chair Murray called the meeting to order at 4:09 p.m.
H.B. 217 Designation of Memorial Highway (D. Ure)
Representative Ure explained the bill to the committee .
MOTION: Representative Siddoway moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
H.B. 118 Special License Plates for Search and Rescue Teams (B. Ferry)
Representative Ferry presented the bill to the committee, distributed a handout, and proposed amendments.
MOTION: Representative Dillree moved to amend the bill as follows:
Page 10, Line 280: After "operator" insert "or search and rescue team"
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Representative Adair moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously.
After intervening business:
MOTION: Representative Adair moved that the committee reconsider the previous action taken on
H.B. 118. The motion passed unanimously with Representative Dillree absent for the vote.
MOTION: Representative Adair moved to amend the bill as follows:
Page 10, Line 287: Delete "search and rescue team,"

H.B. 114 Penalty for Stealing Motor Fuel (C. Saunders)
Representative Saunders distributed a handout, and explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. John Richardson, Utah Petroleum Marketers Retail Association.
Mr. John Hill, Utah Petroleum Marketers Retail Association, answered questions of committee members.
MOTION: Representative Holdaway moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Representative Morgan moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Representative Dillree absent for the vote.
