Vice Chair Holdaway called the meeting to order at 8:34 a.m.
MOTION: Representative Siddoway moved to approve the minutes of the January 29, 2002 committee meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Representative Beshear absent for the vote.
S.B. 49 Utah Exemption Act Amendments (D. Gladwell)
Senator Gladwell explained the bill to the committee.
MOTION: Representative Siddoway moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
S.B. 9 Amendments to Driving Under the Influence (C. Walker)
Senator Walker explained the bill to the committee and distributed a handout.
Senator Eastman and Ms. Mary Lou Emerson, Governor's Council on Driving Under the Influence, answered questions of committee members regarding the bill.
MOTION: Representative Dillree moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.
S.B. 52 Left Lane Restriction Amendments (D. Eastman)
Senator Eastman explained the bill to the committee.
Colonel Scott Duncan, Superintendent - Utah Highway Patrol, spoke in support of the bill.
MOTION: Representative Dillree moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Representative Bush absent for the vote.
MOTION: Representative Murray moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Representative Bush absent for the vote.
Vice Chair Holdaway adjourned the meeting at 8:54 a.m.
