             6      This act provides revisor's instructions to correct errors in introductory captions found in
             7      H.B. 25, Adult Protective Services Amendments, passed during the 2002 Annual General
             8      Session. This act provides an immediate effective date and has retrospective operation to
             9      May 6, 2002, which is the effective date of the original bill.
             10      This act enacts uncodified material.
             11      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             12          Section 1. Revisor's instructions.
             13          (1) During the 2002 Annual General Session, the Legislature passed H.B. 25, Adult
             14      Protective Services Amendments, in which the introductory captions of certain sections of that bill
             15      were incorrect and inconsistent with the list of sections affected, which were correct.
             16          (2) For the reasons described in Subsection (1), it is the intent of the Legislature that the
             17      legislative general counsel in preparing the laws for publication, make corrections to the
             18      introductory captions for the following sections of H.B. 25, Adult Protective Services
             19      Amendments, passed during the 2002 Annual General Session:
             20          (a) (i) The introductory caption for Section 7, which read "Section 62A-3-307 is enacted
             21      to read:" shall be corrected to read "Section 7. Section 62A-3-307 is repealed and reenacted to
             22      read:".
             23          (ii) The text of Section 62A-3-307 is unchanged.
             24          (b) (i) The introductory caption for Section 8, which read "Section 62A-3-308 is enacted
             25      to read:" shall be corrected to read "Section 8. Section 62A-3-308 is repealed and reenacted to
             26      read:".
             27          (ii) The text of Section 62A-3-308 is unchanged.


             28          (c) (i) The introductory caption for Section 9, which read "Section 62A-3-309 is enacted
             29      to read:" shall be corrected to read "Section 9. Section 62A-3-309 is repealed and reenacted to
             30      read:".
             31          (ii) The text of Section 62A-3-309 is unchanged.
             32          (d) (i) The introductory caption for Section 13, which read "Section 62A-3-313 is repealed
             33      and reenacted to read:" shall be corrected to read "Section 13. Section 62A-3-313 is enacted to
             34      read:".
             35          (ii) The text of Section 62A-3-313 is unchanged.
             36          Section 2. Effective date.
             37          If approved by two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, this act takes effect
             38      upon approval by the governor, or the day following the constitutional time limit of Utah
             39      Constitution Article VII, Section 8, without the governor's signature, or in the case of a veto, the
             40      date of veto override.
             41          Section 3. Retrospective operation.
             42          This act has retrospective operation to May 6, 2002.
