SUNSET ACT REAUTHORIZATIONS
2 2003 GENERAL SESSION
3 STATE OF UTAH

5 This act reauthorizes certain state entities and programs that would otherwise sunset
6 before the 2004 Annual General Session of the Utah Legislature.
7 This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:

14 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
15 Section 1. Section 63-55-231 is amended to read:
16 63-55-231. Repeal dates, Title 31A.
17 (1) Section 31A-2-208.5 , Comparison tables, is repealed July 1, 2005.
18 (2) Section 31A-2-217 , Coordination with other states, is repealed July 1, [2003] 2013.
19 (3) Section 31A-3-104 , Electronic Commerce Dedicated Fees, is repealed July 1, 2006.
20 (4) Section 31A-22-315 , Motor Vehicle Insurance Reporting, is repealed July 1, 2010.
21 (5) Section 31A-22-625 , Catastrophic Coverage of Mental Health Conditions, is
22 repealed July 1, 2011.
23 (6) Title 31A, Chapter 31, Insurance Fraud Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.
24 Section 2. Section 63-55-258 is amended to read:
25 63-55-258. Repeal dates, Title 58.
26 (1) Title 58, Chapter 3a, Architects Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, [2003] 2013.
27 (2) Title 58, Chapter 5a, Podiatric Physician Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2007.

28 (3) Title 58, Chapter 9, Funeral Services Licensing Act, is repealed July 1, 2008.
29 (4) Title 58, Chapter 13, Health Care Providers Immunity from Liability Act, is
30 repealed July 1, 2006.
31 (5) Title 58, Chapter 15, Health Facility Administrator Act, is repealed July 1, 2005.
32 (6) Title 58, Chapter 16a, Utah Optometry Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2009.
33 (7) Title 58, Chapter 17a, Pharmacy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2006.
34 (8) Title 58, Chapter 20a, Environmental Health Scientist Act, is repealed July 1,
35 [2003] 2013.
36 (9) Title 58, Chapter 22, Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors

48 (17) Title 58, Chapter 40, Recreational Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2005.
49 (18) Title 58, Chapter 41, Speech-language Pathology and Audiology Licensing Act, is
50 repealed July 1, 2009.
51 (19) Title 58, Chapter 42a, Occupational Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1,
52 2005.
53 (20) Title 58, Chapter 44a, Nurse Midwife Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2010.
54 (21) Title 58, Chapter 46a, Hearing Instrument Specialist Licensing Act, is repealed
55 July 1, [2003] 2013.
56 (22) Title 58, Chapter 47b, Massage Therapy Practice Act, is repealed July 1, 2004.
57 (23) Title 58, Chapter 49, Dietitian Certification Act, is repealed July 1, 2005.
58 (24) Title 58, Chapter 53, Landscape Architects Licensing Act, is repealed July 1,

60 (25) Title 58, Chapter 58, Preneed Funeral Arrangement Act, is repealed July 1, 2011.
61 (26) Title 58, Chapter 59, Professional Employer Organization Licensing Act, is
62 repealed July 1, 2007.

75 Section 3. Section 63-55-263 is amended to read:
76 63-55-263. Repeal dates, Titles 63 and 63A.
77 (1) (a) Title 63, Chapter 25a, Part 1, Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice, is
78 repealed July 1, 2012.
79 (b) Title 63, Chapter 25a, Part 3, Sentencing Commission, is repealed January 1, 2012.
80 (2) The Crime Victims' Reparations Board, created in Section 63-25a-404 , is repealed
81 July 1, 2007.
82 (3) The Resource Development Coordinating Committee, created in Section 63-28a-2 ,
83 is repealed July 1, 2004.
84 (4) Title 63, Chapter 38c, State Appropriations and Tax Limitation Act, is repealed
85 July 1, 2005.
86 (5) Title 63, Chapter 75, Families, Agencies, and Communities Together for Children
87 and Youth At Risk Act, is repealed July 1, 2006.
88 (6) Title 63, Chapter 88, Navajo Trust Fund, is repealed July 1, 2005.
89 (7) Sections 63A-4-204 and 63A-4-205 , authorizing the Risk Management Fund to

90 provide coverage to nonstate entities, are repealed July 1, 2006.
91 (8) Title 63A, Chapter 7, Utah Sports Authority Act, is repealed July 1, 2003.
92 (9) Title 63A, Chapter 10, State Olympic Coordination Act, is repealed July 1, [2003]
93 2004.
94 Section 4. Section 63-55-273 is amended to read:
95 63-55-273. Repeal dates, Title 73.
96 Title 73, Chapter 27, State Water Development Commission, is repealed December 31,
97 [2003] 2008.
98 Section 5. Section 63-55-278 is amended to read:
99 63-55-278. Repeal dates, Title 78.
100 (1) The Office of the Court Administrator, created in Section 78-3-23 , is repealed July
101 1, 2003.
102 (2) Foster care citizen review boards and steering committee, created in Title 78,
103 Chapter 3g, is repealed July 1, 2007.
104 (3) Alternative Dispute Resolution Act, created in Title 78, Chapter 31b, is repealed
105 July 1, [2003] 2008.
