REPEAL OF TRADING STAMPS REGULATION

             5      This act repeals code provisions relating to the regulation of trading stamps. The act
             6      repeals provisions requiring persons in the business of trading stamps to establish an
             7      office in Utah, appoint a process attorney for civil actions, and post a bond. The act
             8      repeals provisions requiring trading stamps to display their redeemable value, and
             9      repeals provisions providing guidelines for the redemption of trading stamps.
             10      This act affects sections of Utah Code Annotated 1953 as follows:
             11      REPEALS:
             12          13-6-1, as last amended by Chapter 66, Laws of Utah 1984
             13          13-6-2, as last amended by Chapter 66, Laws of Utah 1984
             14          13-6-3, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             15          13-6-4, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             16          13-6-5, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             17          13-6-6, Utah Code Annotated 1953
             18      Be it enacted by the Legislature of the state of Utah:
             19          Section 1. Repealer.
             20          This act repeals:
             21          Section 13-6-1, Conditions of unlawful issue -- Process agent -- Bond.
             22          Section 13-6-2, Bond -- Actions -- Parties -- Limitation of action.
             23          Section 13-6-3, Redeemable value in cents to be shown.
             24          Section 13-6-4, Redemption in cash or merchandise by issuer.
             25          Section 13-6-5, Redemption by distributor.
             26          Section 13-6-6, Violation a misdemeanor.
