Vice Chair Parker called the meeting to order at 4:28 p.m.


Rep. Morley moved to approve the minutes of the February 11, 2003 . The motion passed unanimously.

S.B. 10    Preneed Funeral Arrangement Amendments (P. Arent)

Sen. Arent explained the bill.

Spoke for the bill:    Tom Jensen, American Association of Retired People
            Francine Giani, Utah Department of Consumer Protection

MOTION:    Rep. Biskupski moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Buttars, Rep D. Clark, and Rep. Hansen absent for the vote.


S.B. 92 1st Sub.    Land Surveyor Amendments (H. Stephenson)

Sen. Stephenson explained the bill with the assistance of Matt Clark, Utah Council of Land Surveyors.

MOTION:    Rep. Hansen moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Buttars absent for the vote.

H.B. 271    Airport to University of Utah Light Rail Restricted Account Amendments (D. Ure)

The bill was not considered at this meeting.

MOTION:    Rep. Buttars moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. D. Clark, Rep. Dunnigan, and Rep. Kiser absent for the vote.
