MOTION: Rep. Newbold moved to approve the minutes of the January 21, 2003 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Bowman, Rep. Bush, and Rep. Hendrickson absent for the vote.
H.B. 82 Initiatives - One Subject Requirement (J. M. Philpot)
Rep. Philpot introduced H.B. 82 and explained it to the committee.
Spoke in favor of the bill: Sandy Peck, League of Women Voters
MOTION: Rep. Ferrin moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Hendrickson absent for the vote.
H.J.R. 7S1 Resolution on Special Sessions of the Legislature (C. Bennion)
Rep. Bennion introduced 1st Substitute H.J.R. 7 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Hansen moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with Rep. Pace voting in opposition to the motion.
H.B. 27 Budget Reserve Account Amendments (C. Buttars)
Rep. Buttars introduced H.B. 27 and explained it to the committee.
MOTION: Rep. Hendrickson moved to amend the bill as follows:
1. Page 6, Line 178: After "Legislature" bracket "in the last annual"
2. Page 6, Line 179: Delete line 179
The motion to amend passed unanimously.
