Vice Chair Mascaro called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m.

MOTION:    Representative Jones moved to approved the minutes of the January 29, 2003 committee meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Representative Dillree, Representative Last, and Representative Thompson absent for the vote.


H.B. 106    Foster Care Guidance Through Providers Contracts (M. Dayton)

Representative Dayton explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Mark Ward, Deputy Director - Department of Human Services.

MOTION:    Representative Lockhart moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

H.B. 211    Disabilities Appropriations Nonlapsing (R. Lockhart)

Representative Lockhart explained the bill to the committee with the assistance of Mr. Mark Ward, Deputy Director - Department of Human Services




Speaking in support of the bill was Ms. Kris Fawson, Legislative Coalition for People With Disabilities.

MOTION:    Representative Buffmire moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Representative Thompson moved to place the bill on the Consent Calendar. The motion passed unanimously.


At the request of the sponsors, H.B. 101 Control of the Disposition of a Deceased Person (J. Biskupski), and H.B. 212 Primary Care Network Amendments for General Assistance Recipients (K. Holdaway), were not considered in today's meeting.

S.B. 80, Adverse Benefit Determination Amendments, (P. Knudson) was also not considered.

MOTION:    Representative Thompson moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

Vice Chair Mascaro adjourned the meeting at 9:18 a.m.
