Chair Bowman called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Aagard moved to approve the minutes of the February 6, 2003 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Harper and Rep. Wallace absent for the vote.

H.B. 235    Falsification or Alteration of Government Record (K. Bryson)

Explained the bill:    Rep. Bryson
                Dave Wayment, Utah County Attorney's Office

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Harper absent for the vote.

H.B. 238    Utah Code of Criminal Procedure Amendments (K. Bryson)

MOTION:    Rep. Morley moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Line 7:    After " testimony," insert " and" and after " sentences" insert a " ." and delete the rest of the line.

2.    Page 1, Line 8:    Delete line 8.

3.    Page 1, Line 14:    Delete line 14.

4.    Pages 10 - 11, Lines 305 - 321:    Delete lines 305 through 321.

The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Harper absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Jones moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Bourdeaux absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Harper moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Bourdeaux absent for the vote.
