Vice Chair Aagard called the meeting to order at 8:07 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Morley moved to approve the minutes of the February 10, 2003 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Bowman, Rep. Jones, Rep. Parker, and Rep. Wallace absent for the vote.

H.B. 114    Management, Enhancement, and Funding of 911 System (B. Dee)

Explained the bill:    Rep. Dee
                Terry Ingram, Salt Lake Valley Emergency Communications Center

MOTION:    Rep. Dee moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.     Page 2, Line 39:    Delete “14" and insert “15"

2.    Page 2, Line 54:    After line 54 insert "(ii) a representative from a telephone cooperative having less than 300 subscriber access lines in the state;" renumber the remaining subsections accordingly

The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Jones absent for the vote.

            The original motion to pass the bill out favorably as amended passed unanimously, with Rep. Harper and Rep. Jones absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to suspend the rules to allow Rep. Harper to make a motion after having already spoken. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Jones and Rep. Litvak absent for the vote.
