Chair Bowman called the meeting to order at 8:10 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Parker moved to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2003 meeting. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Christensen, Rep. Harper, Rep. Morley, and Rep. Wallace absent for the vote.

H.B. 334    Enticing Minors over Internet Amendments (D. Bourdeaux)

MOTION:    Rep. Bourdeaux moved to amend the bill as follows:

1.    Page 1, Line 6:    Delete " amending the offense of enticing a minor over the"

2.    Page 1, Line 7:    Delete entire line

3.    Page 1, Line 8:    Delete entire line and insert " eliminating an unnecessary reference to other criminal code provisions."

4.    Page 1, Line 17:    After "attempts to" insert "use a computer to"

The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Christensen, Rep. Harper, and Rep. Morley absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Dee moved to pass the bill out favorably as amended. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Christensen, Rep. Harper, Rep. Litvak, and Rep. Morley absent for the vote.


MOTION:    Rep. Jones moved that the bill be placed on the consent calendar. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Christensen, Rep. Harper, and Rep Morley absent for the vote.

S.B. 106    Highway Patrol Use of Unmarked Vehicles (C. Bramble)

MOTION:    Rep. Wallace moved to delete in title and body S.B. 7 and replace it with 1st Sub. S.B. 7. The motion passed, with Rep. Harper voting in opposition and Rep. Christensen absent for the vote.

MOTION:    Rep. Dee moved to delete in title and body H.B. 112 and replace it with 1st Sub. H.B. 112. The motion passed unanimously, with Rep. Wallace absent for the vote.
