Rep. Buttars called the meeting to order at 8:11 a.m.
MOTION: Rep. Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the February 14, 2003 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Gowans, Rep. Johnson, Rep. Noel, Rep. Styler, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.
S.B. 65 Reclamation Surety for Mining Operations (M. Dmitrich)
Sen Dmitrich introduced S.B. 65 and explained it to the committee.
Spoke in favor of the bill: Lowell Braxton, Director, Utah Division of Oil, Gas & Mining
MOTION: Rep. Cox moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Gowans and Rep. Styler absent for the vote.
