Rep. Buttars called the meeting to order at 8:07 a.m.

MOTION:    Rep. Dayton moved to approve the minutes of the February 21, 2003 meeting. The motion passed unanimously with Rep. Anderson, Rep. Johnson, Rep. Noel, and Rep. Urquhart absent for the vote.


H.B. 259    Disclosure of Commercial Pest Control Business Financial Responsibility (D. Clark)

Rep. Clark introduced H.B. 259 and explained it to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Kyle Stephens, Utah Department of Agriculture & Food

MOTION:    Rep. Dayton moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed with
        Rep. Barrus voting in opposition to the motion and Rep. Ure absent for the vote.



H.B. 305    Individual Income Tax Contribution - Wolf Depredation and Management Restricted Account (D. Peterson)


MOTION:    Rep. Peterson moved to amend the bill as follows:

Page 3, Line 74:    After January 1, delete “1998" and insert “2004"

The motion to amend the bill passed unanimously with Rep. Ure absent for the vote.

Rep. Peterson introduced H.B. 305 and explained it to the committee.

Spoke in favor of the bill:    Kevin Conway, Division of Wildlife Resources
                Sterling Brown, Utah Farm Bureau
                Debbie Goodman, Utah Audubon Council

MOTION:    Rep. Peterson moved to reconsider the committee's action and remove the amendment adopted by the committee. The motion passed unanimously.

MOTION:    Rep. Urquhart moved to pass the bill out favorably. The motion passed unanimously.


MOTION:    Rep. Donnelson moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously.
