Vice-Chair Barrus called the meeting to order at 3:43 p.m.

Motion:    Rep. Hardy moved to approve the minutes of January 23, 2003. The motion passed with a vote of 6-0-4, with Reps. Becker, Bourdeaux, Hogue and Murray absent for the vote.

H.B. 79    Regulation of Amateur Radio Antennas (N. Hendrickson)

Rep. Hendrickson introduced the bill.

Motion:    Rep. Dee moved that the committee report a favorable recommendation on H.B. 79. The motion passed with a vote of 8-0-2, with Reps. Becker and Bourdeaux absent for the vote.

S.B. 18    Lieutenant Governor Certification of Special District and Local District Annexations, Withdrawals, and Dissolutions (D. Gladwell)

Rep. Hogue introduced the bill.

Motion:    Rep. Duckworth moved that the committee report a favorable recommendation on S.B. 18. The motion passed unanimously with a vote of 10-0-0.

H.B. 66    County General Fund Expenses (B. Dee)

Rep. Dee introduced the bill.

James O. Tracy, Utah County Sheriff, further explained the bill.




Brent Gardner, Utah Association of Counties, spoke in favor of the bill.

Motion:    Rep. Bourdeaux moved that the committee report a favorable recommendation on H.B. 66. The motion passed unanimously with a vote of 10-0-0.

H.B. 54    Special Districts and Local Districts - Acquisition of Real Property (G. Hughes)

H.B. 54 was not considered.


Motion:    Rep. Duckworth moved to adjourn. The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
