Sen. Eastman assumed the Chair and called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to approve the minutes of February 11, 2003.
The motion passed unanimously with Sen. Hickman absent for the vote.
1. H.B. 108 Fully Interactive Driving Simulators in Driver Education (J. Dougall)
Rep. Dougall explained the bill.
Chris Purcell, State Farm Insurance; David Creer, Exec. Dir., Utah Trucking Association;
and Linda Plouzek, Legislative V.P., Utah PTA, spoke in support of the bill.
Bart Blackstock, Dep. Dir., Department of Public Safety, Drivers License Division, spoke to the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Hale moved to pass the bill out favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
Sen. Hickman assumed the Chair.
2. H.B. 234 Administrative Treatment of Traffic Violations - Technical Amendments
(D. Cox)
Sen. Eastman explained the bill.
MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to pass the bill out favorably.
The motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Sen. Walker moved to adjourn.
The motion passed unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
